The mercenary groups convened in an abandoned battlefield where mighty warriors once fell. The battlefield was littered with the corpes of the dead and mighty behemoths lay in ruin. Two armies clashed, and it seemed like neither had won. The mercenaries were divided by the only living thing on the field and in reaching their objective, two of their members fell: Tieeyr the Confused (by the conditions for living), met his end when he literally laid down his life in vain and Delta Altas the Punctured, who's companions did not understand how to bind wounds. They will be sorely missed.....
But the adventure continues with the battle for the hole: Six people-one hole-2 hours.......
The Journey Continues as the Paladin Higgle Higglehill and Casio continue their exploration of the crumbling tunnel. Two thunks are heard behind them as they realize that two new mercenaries have fallen into the hole. The new adventurers (Kivara and Dracken) join the duo as they realize that their survival is dependent on the others. This is the beginning of the end. They party splits up to explore both tunnels. From the left-hand tunnel, the party hears a skittering noise that gets louder and louder until they see a large swarm of rats that is filling the tunnel. The paladin turns around and whips his candle down the tunnel...not realizing that his action was in vain. The cleric, trying to kick rats off him, kicks the rogue in the back, knocking her into the swarm. The paladin starts to run away, then realizing that he is bound by honor starts to battle the rats. The sorcerer runs away in a full panic. After the encounter is resolved, mostly by the paladin, the sorcerer lights a torch and runs back toward the party. The paladin (not knowing that the sorcerer was gone) reacts to this flame flickering towards the party by throwing a dagger.....straight into the sorcerer’s head (critical hit). The party loots their dead comrade's body and moves on. They find a room with a chest that can't be opened without a specific key. Beyond that room is a large room with a beautiful Captain's desk-made with real wood! The paladin-obsessed with candles-runs out of the room in search of his thrown candle, which he finds in pieces. Upon his return the room he searches desperately for candles. When he finds one, the rogue Kivara promptly smacks it out of his hand. His response was to straight up murder the rogue...over a candle...
A CANDLE! His alignment quickly changed to chaotic evil and an epic battle began between the paladin and the cleric. The paladin won and left muttering about candles covered in the blood of his party.

A 2ft tall paladin killed an entire party of adventurers.
A new mercenary party enters the tunnel system.
They venture through the murky darkness by torchlight until they come upon two rooms. One room contains a chest surrounded by corpses and the other a captain's quarters. Upon searching an ornate desk, they stumble upon a key with a raven claw head. This fits perfectly in the lock on the chest and this is the start of total chaos. Only one member of the party can see in the dark, and the rest keep forgetting they can't. Many a torch was tossed, a member was blown across the room by another member, and Matrix moves were attempted. By brute strength alone was the party saved, but not before being singed, stabbed, sliced, knocked out, blinded, and eviscerated. Five party members went in, four came out alive...
After the last ordeal the party went nobly on almost oblivious to the hardships they had faced. At the end of the tunnel was a bright and shining light. It was day and the sky was wide and bright. They spotted a town nearby and decided to venture in to see if work was to be had and food was to be provided. In a stroke of sheer brilliance, the party split up to better canvas the town. The townsfolk were skeptical and veered away from this rugged band of unwashed heroes, but they plowed onward towards glory. One group decided to approach the houses and after a few failed attempts at gaining information, the warlock decided to kick in a door to “help” the townsfolk. His attempt was feeble at best but was met with swift aggression from the owner of the house. Undeterred by this attempt to remove him from the premises, Delta pushed on to try to catch a glimpse of the children inside. This was met with even stronger aggression that came back to bite him in the end. Only after his own party member, Xeno, having completely intimidated him into submission, did Delta finally leave the house. The other group went off in search of the Mayor of the town. They found a scrawled, ripped notice about rats that were infecting the town and found the Mayor to try to lend their services. One member was left with a bell and an option. The only option was of course to ring the bell loudly to summon her companions. Unbeknownst to her, this bell was a warning bell to signal intruders to the town and at once the town lit up and people starting rushing towards battle stations. The Mayor, who was in conversation with the other party, abruptly left them to mind the town well. This started the beginning of the end for the party…
Delta the not so wise, but very brave, decided in his great wisdom to run after the Mayor and shot an Eldritch Blast high into the heavens. Suddenly one of the townsfolk yelled, “Agathan is missing!” This prompted a new frenzy of activity in town as the townsfolk raced back towards their houses to check on their children. Delta, who was around for all this activity, was in the process of trying to help the mayor when the man whose house he tried to break into, swept past him, told the mayor about a note and how, “this man should not be trusted.” The other group was caught in the trap of Agatha the Absentminded who kept asking about her children and if the party had found them yet. All of this chaos ended with Delta hogtied in the dirt by Xeno who casually stated while walking away, “get out yourself” as he threw a dagger ten feet away…
The story continues as the party ignores the issue of all the children having been taken from the homes and continued to badger Agatha. This goes on for too long and the session ends without any real conclusion to the problem...
The next day the party searched frantically for a libary card?!
